Overview My interpertation of the book is that when you are younger you listen to what you parents believe in and you follow that. I think the slaves believed in the puppets because their parents did. As you get older its harder to be persuaded by a new way and you actually change. You tend to want to keep that same belief. The slaves just got used to what they saw everday and didnt have the courage to try to leave the cave except the Philosopher King. He went and found the truth the sun hurt his eyes because he wasn't use to reality. Soon his eyes adjusted and he learned more about reality outside the cave then within. This Philosopher King or this "new belief" came back to tell all the other "old beliefs" and they thought he was crazy. Typicall of todays society. The way Plato wrote this justice like this was un-thinkable. I would have never thought of it or even compared it with slaves in a cave. I enjoyaed the way it was written because it was challeng and mad me think.

"Better to be the poor servant of a poor master" This quote means that you would rather be un happy knowing the truth then beeing happy believing in a lie.Plato compares the Cave Allegory to justice by saying once you find the light"reality" you are a just pearson.
